Terms and Conditions for ZipScoot Scooter-Sharing System

Welcome to ZipScoot! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our scooter-sharing platform. By accessing or using ZipScoot, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the services provided by ZipScoot, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent. You also agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

2. Account Responsibilities

Upon registration, you will create an account with a username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your password, and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify ZipScoot immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. ZipScoot will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

3. Use of Scooters

3.1 Eligibility

To rent and operate a scooter, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Hold a valid driver's license or permit, where applicable.
  • Have access to a smartphone and the ZipScoot mobile application.

3.2 Operation

By using a ZipScoot scooter, you agree to:

  • Operate the scooter in a safe and responsible manner, obeying all local traffic laws.
  • Wear a helmet at all times while riding (helmets may be provided by ZipScoot).
  • Conduct a pre-ride inspection of the scooter, making sure it is safe to operate.

3.3 Prohibited Actions

You agree not to:

  • Use the scooter for racing, stunts, or tricks.
  • Operate the scooter while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Allow any other person to use the scooter during the rental period.
  • Damage, tamper with, or deface the scooter.
  • Park the scooter in unauthorized areas as outlined in the ZipScoot app.

4. Rental Fees and Billing

By using ZipScoot, you agree to pay the rental fees as outlined in the app. Fees may include:

  • A base fee for unlocking the scooter.
  • A per-minute fee for the duration of your ride.
  • Additional costs for late returns, damage, or loss of the scooter.

All payments will be processed through the app using your registered payment method. You authorize ZipScoot to charge your chosen payment method for all transactions related to your use of our scooters.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You can cancel your ride through the ZipScoot app before the scooter is unlocked for a full refund of any applicable rental fees. Once unlocked, rental fees are non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue with the scooter or app, you must report it immediately via the app for potential resolution.

6. Liability and Insurance

ZipScoot is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from your use of our scooters. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of others while operating a ZipScoot scooter. We recommend obtaining personal insurance to cover any accidents or injuries.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided by ZipScoot, including logos, images, and software, is the property of ZipScoot and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on any of our content without prior written permission.

8. Termination

ZipScoot reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in any fraudulent, harmful, or illegal behavior. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting our customer service.

9. Modifications

ZipScoot may modify these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on our website or within the app. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
